CHARLES E. TACCONELLI

            Charles (Chuck) Tacconelli entered the surveying field in 1966 as a rodman/chainman for an engineering and land surveying firm with offices in Chester and Montgomery Counties.  While on the survey crew, he advanced to the position of party chief and afterwards was made Chief of Survey, which placed him directly in charge of all surveying operations.  As Chief of Survey, Mr. Tacconelli served as the liaison to the public works road crews of Franconia, Lower Salford, and Towamencin Townships, and the Montgomery County Department of Roads and Bridges.  In 1985, Mr. Tacconelli also performed building inspection services for Lansdale Borough on a temporary basis while the Borough solicited and interviewed candidates to serve as an in-house building inspector.

            His formal educational background is through Pennsylvania State University (extension campuses) where he took courses in surveying, surveying mathematics, aerial photogrammetry, land surveying methodology, and boundary law.

            For the last twenty (20) years, Mr. Tacconelli has been involved in land planning and site development -- both creating sketch designs for development and reviewing them.  He has also inspected and supervised the construction on many miles of township and county roadways; including the installation of public water facilities, storm and sanitary sewers, curbing, and sidewalk, and the establishment of proper roadbed subgrade and placement of bituminous paving.

            Mr. Tacconelli has also worked in close coordination with township solicitors for the verification of construction improvements and the release of developer escrow funds.  Most recently, he has completed the coordination and project feasibility analyses required through Montgomery County to obtain a $1.5 million infrastructure loan program grant for Lansdale Borough.
